Golf and Diapers

This was a fun and eventful week for us. Jared played in Loma Linda School of Dentistry's annual golf tournament with some of his classmates and had a blast and then our good friends Landon and Lindsay threw us a surprise "diaper" baby shower with all of our LL friends. It was a laugh out loud kind of night...especially because we all had to wear adult sized diapers all night! Fun times...great BBQ...and we came home with a back seat full of diapers and wipes for Evan! :)

Showered

6 1/2 months pregnant now, which means it was time for me to head to Spokane for my baby shower! My sisters were such good party planners with their "blue" theme (even blue lemonade!) and my friend Stacy Hill was an amazing host for everyone who came! I felt very special that afternoon, surrounded by friends and family and Evan, Jared and I were definitely "showered" with gifts!

My sisters had everyone decorate onesies for Evan, all with different themes. Amy had "mom" as her theme and I think I ended up liking her onesie the best. :)

Sure do miss friends like Ashlee in Cali! Her son Owen is going to be one of Evans friends. :)

Stacy was my high school English teacher, turned friend after I nannied for her two different times and I love having her in my life as a mentor and friend! Hard to believe I watched Ainsley when she was just born and here she is 9 years old!!!

Spring

We've had two eventful weeks of Spring Break. Jared's was the last week in March and we traveled to San Diego and Las Vegas, and then my parents came down to So Cal this past week to see all of us girls for their spring break. It's been a lot of fun and a lot of activities. I think spring breaks are just that... a good break from the norm!

Side-trip: Jared went camping for a night out at Joshus Tree with some of our friends. I stayed back because sleeping in a bed at 6 months prego sounds better than on a Thermarest in a tent.

When we were in San Diego we took a really nice hike at Torrey Pines in Del Mar. Great way to start our day!

Did some shopping with my sisters in La Jolla...I love being with them and who better to shop with than your sisters right!?!

During our stay in Vegas to see Jared's parents we took part of a day and hiked at Red Rock Canyon. The trail we took landed us at the top of this sweet mountain with this small lake below. I felt on top of the world. :)

Jared did this and I thought it was really cool. He made it...took a picture of it...and now we're going to frame it some cool way in our house.

Of course when in Vegas you take a jaunt down to the strip. Here, we're at Treasure Island.

Great Spring Break(s)! Good to see lots of family and have vacation!
