We headed out to see mom and dad Mitchell for Easter this year. Easter is always such a special holiday for us- always a day to be with family, celebrate Christ's rising, have an Easter egg hunt at Grandpa and Grandma Pikes, and enjoy a delicious brunch. It felt good to still spend Easter with family, even though we are far from Spokane, and our day today has been lovely. We went to an awesome, powerful church service with mom and dad and then had our own BBQ back at their house and enjoyed the beautiful day outside. It's such a blessing to have parents only about 4 hours away from us, and I'm very thankful that we were able to come and have some fun out in Vegas.
We went out to Lake Las Vegas on Saturday- it's this incredible man-made lake just north-east of Vegas and the whole area surrounding the lake is set up to look like an Italian village. It was so cool- there are several resorts on the lake that are family-friendly and people say this area is Las Vegas' best kept secret. We walked around and explored the lake a little bit...
This was at Loew's Resort- it had a Moroccan theme to it. Beautiful resort to enjoy even if you're not a guest.
