Spring Break in Spokane

One thing we've learned in life...there is nothing like family. Case in point, my two little cousins on my lap here, Abi and Lily. We went back to Spokane this past week over Jared's spring break and it was a great time of seeing our family, friends, and just some things we've missed from Spokane/the Pacific Northwest. We stayed very busy, and yet it was all so relaxing because we were with people we love. I've posted a lot of pictures here, so here's a little recap of what we were up to.

More cousins...Kramer, Ellie, Faith, Emily and Lily. Not sure what Lily was doing with her left eye. :)
Downtown for dinner at PF Changs with our good friends Bill and Lacey Grummons.
Jared visiting Dr. Grummons and Bill. These three love to have fun together in Dr. G's lab. :)

Jared drove up to Priest Lake for a night to check on the cabin, roast some smores on the fire, and just enjoy the quiet beauty of this place. Priest Lake is probably one of the things we miss most about being in Spokane- can't wait to spend some time up there this summer!
View from down at Hill's Resort. The lake is still partially frozen!
Coffee up at McGlades. We were so glad to hear they reopened because we loved this place. If you are looking for a cool place to grab coffee or enjoy a bistro-style meal, definitely head out to McGlades!
Abi and me :)
We spent an afternoon downtown with mom and dad doing some shopping and meandering. We walked to the Davenport Hotel because I wanted to buy some of that famous soft peanut brittle to bring back and give to my boss. That stuff is so good!

Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Ruth and me
My cousin Melissa...by the looks of this picture we could be sisters!
Jared and Grandma. Melissa made the cookie bouquet for my grandma's 80th birthday.

Our friends Joe and Ashlee. They came over for dinner one night to my parents. Felt like old times when we would all be at my parents house in high school...good times!
My cousin Ellie
The 4th sister...Addy
I went to visit my mom at Mt. Spokane High School, where she is a "lunch lady." I helped her serve lunch and then went and visited a couple of my old teachers. It was really fun and she and the other cooks let me have anything in the kitchen I wanted to eat. :)
Here are my cousins Tracy, Noah, Katie and Luke. Katie and I had spent an afternoon together doing all girl things. We went to Starbucks, the mall to shop for jewlery and then I took Katie to her tap/ballet lesson. Oh my gosh- it was so cute watching her dance- she was the best in the class by far. :)
Katie and I have a special bond...we both think the world of eachother. I hope I have a daughter just like her someday, but in the meantime, she is my special little friend!
My mom means the world to me and we are the best of friends. We had a girls day out on Monday- we shopped, grabbed coffee, got pedicures, she made me homemade macaroni and cheese for dinner and then we ended it all with a movie night. I miss having more days like this with my mom, but I cherished this day we had toghether!
